My name is Abe Austin, and this blog is a journal of my daily spiritual studies.

I decided to write this blog after I noticed a few things that I am lacking in my spirituality: consistency, creativity, and measure-ability. Those qualities may not be important to all people in their personal spiritual studies, but for me I feel they are essential.

The format of this blog is simple. I will introduce a new topic that I wish to learn more of. Then, over the next several days, I will post a series of scripture verses related to that topic, and then add my own insights on their meaning. At the end of each series I will provide a summary of what I have learned. That category of research will then be stored under the Collections page of this website, and I will begin on the next subject.

I may, at various times, interrupt my regular study with special one-off posts. These might include a personal story, a favorite standalone verse of scripture, or a piece of poetry I have written.

All passages of scripture will be drawn from the King James Version of the Holy Bible (unless otherwise noted), the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price. Obviously, then, this study is of Christian doctrine, and specifically on the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Even so, I will endeavor to focus on principles that are of a more universal nature.

Please do feel free to add your own insights and interpretations after each of my daily posts. A secondary goal of mine would be that this blog become a group study, rather than an individual one. Thank you for reading!
